We have a cool weekend of a few conferences playing out of conference games. Alabama has been great this year. Nate Oats is a great coach that has this team playing a fun style of basketball, but we have to remember that the Big 12 is a better overall conference so it’s tough to judge teams when they play a non conference game. Oklahoma would be doing everything Bama is doing if they had their conference opponents. The Sooners are going to make this a more physical game and they have the experience a pure scorers to keep up with Alabama. Take Oklahoma.

Ball State +5 over Akron (loss)
Loren Christian Jackson remains from the Zips team last year that finished 1st in the MAC East. The 4 starters around him have departed. Akron brought in a few good transfers, but Ball State has the experience edge in his game as they look top be the leaders in the MAC West again this year. This should be a good basketball game, but I believe the Cardinals are undervalued in this one. Take Ball State.

TCU +10 over Missouri (win)
Missouri is playing great ball right now, but remember this is the same team that finished 10th in the SEC last year. It’s kind of a down year in that conference which is making a few good teams look great. This team is loaded with experienced players and are fun to watch. TCU might not WOW you with a lot of individual talent, but they still are a BIG 12 Conference team that plays talented teams night after night. Jamie Dixon is still a good enough coach to not get blown out in a game like this. This team plays a schedule that has them prepared to play big named programs night after night. The talent might not be there, but the SEC is not as good as the BIG 12 and I believe you will see an impressive Horned Frogs showing. Take TCU.
