Saturday February 3rd Betting Recap

Picks for 2/3/24

College Basketball

Rotation #654
Clemson -4.5 over Virginia (loss)
Virginia always has a great defensive team, but their offense could be better. Clemson has played the more demanding schedule to date and has the advantage of playing at home. The Tigers hold the experienced edge, as the Cavs are younger. Chase Hunter and Syracuse transfer Joseph Girard are good ball handlers, while big man PJ Hall can clean up on the glass. Take Clemson.

Rotation #791
Florida State -5.5 over Louisville (loss)
Louisville head coach Kenny Payne is trying to get his team out of the basement of the ACC and to a more competitive level. Florida State Head Coach Leonard Hamilton is a superior coach with a better team. The Cardinals have struggled this year and, to make matters worse, are not healthy coming into the game. Skyy Clark and Ty-Laur Johnson are game-time decisions, and Hercy Miller is also hurt. The Cardinals are not 100% sure about their guard play, and it will hurt against a better Seminoles team. Look for the Seminole’s pure size to be a problem. Take FSU.

Rotation #797
Tennessee -1.5 over Kentucky (win)
Kentucky is coming off a tough overtime loss to Florida in their last game. Neither team played defense the other night, and tonight’s matchup will be a different style, facing a Tennessee team that is one of the best defenses in the nation. The Vols are a physical team, and I’m interested in seeing how the Kentucky players react to this style of play. Wildcats Justin Edwards and DJ Wagner are game-time decisions, so the Cats might have to reach deeper down their bench. The Vols are an experienced basketball team that has played challenging games on the road. Rick Barnes will have his team ready to play. Take Tennessee.
