This is a pretty high number with two offenses that don’t have the best skilled players on the field and QB’s that can be very streaky. I really like what Rutgers has done defensively. This is a team that has a lot of veteran players on that side of the ball and they really improved this year. I believe this will be a fast moving game with both teams chewing up clock on the ground. I think in order for this to be high scoring we would have to see a bunch of special teams and defensive scores. Take the Under.

Illinois +14 over Northwestern (loss)
Illinois has the ability to move the ball on the ground. This has been a team that can hit you with the long runs, but just has not been consistent in the Lovie Smith era. Northwestern was awful last year and wouldn’t you know finds themselves in the Big 10 Title Game next week. Payton Ramsey has been tremendous for this program. Why get anyone hurt? This team has a chance to win a Big 10 Title. Why even play anyone? Take Illinois.

UNC/Miami Over 69.5 (win)
This is going to be a really fun game to watch between two electric quarterbacks that move their offense by two different styles. There are so many excellent skilled players on the field between these two teams and both offensive lines should protect their QB’s today. These two defense are both down quality cornerbacks as UNC’s Storm Duck is out and Miami’s Al Blades is also out. This number is high, but I think we are going to see a lot of quick strike offense today. Take the Over.

Appalachian State -8.5 over Georgia Southern (loss)
Georgia Southern has been hit hard with the injury bug as their QB and running game has not been 100% this year. Appalachian State has no problem moving their offense as QB Zac Thomas has been great in his career. This is a tough football team that puts the hammer down once they get up on you. Georgia Southern just doesn’t have the ability to get back in games throwing the ball. There have been a lot of suspensions on this Eagles Defense and I believe the Mountaineers will get up early and not look back in this one. Take Appalachian State

South Florida -4 over Wofford (loss)
Wofford has a young 37 year old head coach in Jay McAuley who lost three of his top 5 players from last year and will have to face a team that has the size advantage today. USF has a veteran roster and can hang with anyone this year with a healthy Alexis Yetna back in the roster. This is talented group that is just more physically gifted than Wofford. The Bulls should dominate the glass today. Take South Florida.
