Baylor vs Houston

College Basketball
5:14 PM EST
Rotation #802
Baylor -5 over Houston (win)
Right off the bat we have to look at the past history in this tournament and we will find that teams for conferences like the American Athletic Conference just don’t make the Final Four and they don’t get to play for the title game.  The one exception was that great Butler team a decade ago.   Houston certainly has the coaching and the talent to play in a conference like the BIG 12, but I don’t think they would be on the same level as a Baylor.   The Cougars play great defense in a conference not known for scoring.  This team got themselves all the way to this game by beating ALL double digit seeds.  At some point I believe the road ends.   The beauty of college basketball is the one game series.  Anything can happen on any given night.  In tonight’s case I do believe the multiple guards of Baylor will be way too much to handle for this Houston team.  Kelvin Sampson is a great coach, but Scott Drew has a little bit more firepower.  Take Baylor.

MLB

Rotation #969-970
Rangers/Royals Over 9.5 runs (win)
The winds will favor the hitting today in Kansas City.  Both of these teams got off to a great start the other night and we are looking for them to start hot again today.  Kohei  Arihara will make his first MLB start coming over from the Nippon Pro League in Japan where the ball is a little different and the hitters not as talented.  Nerves might play a factor which could be good for some early runs.   Mike Minor got knocked around last year and failed to pick up a win for the Rangers last year so they shipped him out of town.  Minor now gets to face his old teammates.  I think both teams showed they can get on the scoreboard early and often this year.  The wind conditions help today so we will sit back and cheer for offense.  Take the Over.
