The Nuggets have beaten the Lakers eleven straight times and are looking to close the series with a sweep tonight. The head-to-heads look more lopsided than they are due to the tremendous choke jobs from the Lakers. Offense is not the issue for the Lakers, as sloppy rebounding has cost them. Anthony Davis is playing well enough to keep the Lakers from being swept. Vegas made this a small line because they know the Lakers are not as bad as the final scores might look. Los Angeles must use the home crowd energy to get out to a decent lead because there is no coming back against Denver if they are up late in the game. I believe the Los Angeles role players will play better tonight, and we will see the game come down to the wire. Take the Lakers.

The Orioles have a significant advantage today. They excel against left-handed pitching and benefit from the winds blowing out this afternoon. Pitchers JP Sears and Cole Irvin’s performance this year, with fewer strikeouts and more walks, could work in the offense’s favor. On the other hand, the A’s struggle against left-handers on average, but they share the top spot in the American League with the Orioles for home runs against lefties. Walks might lead to a high-scoring game. Take the Over.
