The Sixers have a good shot at getting to the NBA Finals this season as they play excellent defense. Philly can shoot three-pointers well and, in close games, are the best foul-shooting team in the NBA. One flaw the Sixers have is they are terrible rebounders. Brooklyn is just as bad. The Net has a new coach in Jacque Vaughn after the firing of Steve Nash. Sixers coach Doc Rivers should outcoach Vaughn today. Look for the home crowd to be wild and Philly to win the opening game by double digits. Take the Sixers.

The Diamondbacks are out to an excellent start this year as they lead the NL West. Miami has the most strikeouts in the National League against right-handed pitching. Ryne Nelson is a bright prospect for Arizona and should improve with each start. Neither team has a great bullpen, so the advantage goes to Arizona, as they have a better offense at this point in the year. Take the Diamondbacks.
