Rotation # 277
Bengals -3.5 over Browns (loss)
71% of the betting public is on the Bengals today, and that doesn’t thrill me, but the Bengals are a better football team. Ja’Marr Chase is out tonight, and I understand he is a big part of the Bengals’ offense, but I believe Burrow can dink and dunk against a banged-up front seven. The Browns are thin at linebackers, allowing Joe Mixon to have a good day. The Browns run the ball well and have been passing a little better, but they will miss tight end David Njoku tonight. The Bengals will run the ball well and then take their shots against a secondary that also is hurting. The Browns have lost four in a row and can’t seem to win the close games. I never like going with a  majority public bet on MNF, but I don’t trust the Browns to score much. Cleveland is not a great team coming from behind, so the only way Chubb and Hunt are useful is if they are bleeding the clock with the lead. Cleveland has yet to show us much of that. The battle of Ohio should go to Cincinnati tonight. Take the Bengals.

Rotation # 955-956
Astros/Phillies Over 8 runs (POSTPONED)
Predicting the world series is next to impossible because you never know which teams batters will light up the scoreboard for a big inning. Houston and Philly have tremendous hitters. Lance McCullers has not pitched much this year. McCullers is a great pitcher, but the Phillies roster can get hits off him in his park. Noah Syndergaard has not been the same pitcher since the Mets let him go, or they wouldn’t have let him go. The real key to tonight’s game is the humidity. There could be a slight rain delay, but as the night gets on, the humidity increases, which is suitable for moon balls into the stands. Look for late-inning runs if needed to make this high-scoring. Take the Over.
