Cowboys +7.5 over Texans (loss)
Dak Prescott is out, so Cooper Rush has taken over as quarterback for the Cowboys. Because of this and the Cowboys’ recent struggles, the oddsmakers made the spread high in favor of the Texans. Cooper Rush isn’t that much of a downgrade over Prescott’s poor play this season. Football games are determined in the trenches. The Cowboys have a massive offensive line that should open up running lanes. Houston is missing two starters on their defensive line, so Cooper Rush might have more time to operate. The majority of the betting handle tonight is on the Texans. Houston is just 2-3 on the road, playing out of a weak division. They don’t deserve to be road favorites of this size. The playoffs are most likely out of reach for the Cowboys, but they will compete tonight with their season on the line. AT&T Stadium is too fantastic of a venue for the home team to have yet to win a game this season. It will be interesting to see how the Texans play after blowing a big lead in a scoreless second half last weekend. Take Dallas.

Rotation # 889
Gonzaga -10 over San Diego State (win)
Last season, San Diego State entered McCarthey Athletic Center, embarrassing the Bulldogs on their home court. Jaedon LeDee, Reese Waters, and Darrion Trammell dominated the score sheet. Fast forward to a year later, and six of the top seven Aztec scorers from a year ago are no longer with the program. Reese Waters is out with a foot injury. San Diego State lost almost all of their talent and didn’t get close to replenishing it in the offseason. The Aztecs went from a veteran program to a young one overnight. Gonzaga brings back just about the entire team and brought in much better transfers than the Aztecs. Arkansas transfer Khalif Battle fits right in and is the top scorer so far. Pepperdine transfer Michael Ajayi leads the team in rebounds. San Diego State might not been the same team, but the Bulldogs don’t care and will look to punish them in their building so they can feel the same embarrassment. I know the spread is high for a road team, but Gonzaga is a few tiers better and will crush them with tempo and win by whatever score they decide. Take Gonzaga.
