Anderson/Mikolas
The Cardinals are off to a nice 3-0 start with their sweep over the Twins. St. Louis produced all their runs off right-handed pitchers and, out of all the teams in the big leagues, faced the least lefties to date. It’s a small sample size, but St. Louis could have trouble facing the left-handed Tyler Anderson, an all-star last year. Anderson was awful in spring ball, but judging pitchers based on practice games is hard. Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas will not overpower you, but he will keep the walks down. Taylor Ward has been a good leadoff hitter so far. Mike Trout has been off to a slow start, and there is no question that he is due to break out sooner rather than later. Neither team is projected to be a playoff team. The line seems overvalued based on St. Louis winning their first three games against a Twins team with high hopes this year. Take the Angels.
