It’s not often Duke retains players from the prior season, but not as many players bolt straight to the NBA, so teammates can build camaraderie by playing beside each other for more than one season. Duke is an outstanding shooting team that gets better behind one of the best fan bases in basketball. Wake Forest has improved under head coach Steve Forbes. The Demon Deacons are flawless playing at home but just 2-5 in road games. Cameron Indoor Stadium is overwhelming for opponents. Wake hasn’t won at Duke in over 25 years. Kansas +3.5 over Texas Tech (loss)
It’s odd seeing the #4 team in America a 3.5-point underdog, but Texas Tech head coach Grant McCasland has done a phenomenal job in his first year with the Red Raiders. Bill Self preaches defense as the Jayhawks are one of the best defending teams in America. Kansas has a massive size advantage tonight, so they should dominate the boards and get a few offensive rebounds for second-chance points. Look for big man Hunter Dickinson to lead the way.
