Nuggets +1 over Clippers (loss)
I am not a fan of Denver’s coaching change at the end of the season, but I do believe the Nuggets are the superior basketball team—or at least their starters are. The Clippers are a great defensive team, but it will be hard to hold down the Nuggets’ high-scoring offense, which spreads the floor well and can score from anywhere on the court. It’s next to impossible to stop Nikola Jokic in the paint. Home court means a lot in this series. The Clippers have failed to advance in the first round of the playoffs the last few seasons and lack the offense and grit around the basket to disrupt shots or make easier buckets. Take the Nuggets.
