Friday September 8th Betting Recap

Picks for 9/8/23

College Football

Rotation #352
Kansas -3.5 over Illinois (win)
Tonight’s game feels too easy, but as you know, nothing is easy regarding gambling. Kansas returns QB Jalon Davis, a duel threat with his legs. Backup QB Jason Bean is just as good. The Jayhawks offensive line returns a decent amount of starters, and they have a host of good running backs. The secondary for the Jayhawks is stacked, and the linebackers should make a lot of tackles tonight. Illinois has a transfer QB from Ole Miss, Luke Altmyer, who has a few good targets but is not mobile, and his running game could be better. The Jayhawks are the better team and should win by double digits at home. Take Kansas.

Rotation #957-958
Dodgers/Nationals Under 9.5runs (loss)
Sheehan/Gore
The Dodgers need to improve at hitting left-handed pitching, and the Nationals struggle against right-handers. Dodgers starter Emmet Sheehan is not the best pitcher in the world, but the Nationals batter has not faced the young pitcher, so they might not figure him out in time. MacKenzie Gore has strikeout power and should be able to play well enough for tonight’s game not to get out of hand. Look for a low-scoring game. Take the Under.
