Rotation #108

Rutgers -1.5 over Washington (win)

It’s hard not to remember what Washington did last year as they dominated PAC 12 play, but they now are in the BIG 10 and have a brand new coaching staff. There is little that remains from their team just a year ago. Will Rogers is a decent replacement for Michael Penix, but it will be hard to replicate the magic with a brand-new offensive line. Of course, they miss the outstanding talent of receivers who are now in the NFL. Rutgers is a well-coached team that will shorten a game and control the clock. Greg Schiano is a great coach, and Kyle Monangai is a running back who will play on Sundays. I like Rutgers in the trenches much more than I do the Huskies. Washington has too much youth on its offensive line, needing more size and experience. Rutgers has the more experienced and established staff and will win by playing BIG 10 football, a heavy dose of the run. The Huskies will need time to get used to the switch. Take Rutgers.
