Both teams have similarities as they have new coaching staffs and new Quarterbacks. Wisconsin transfer QB Tanner Mordecai has a lot of experience, and historically, Wisconsin always has big offensive lines to protect the QB and open up running lanes. Braelon Allen is an outstanding running back who should run well tonight against a subpar and new Purdue defense. When it comes to offense, the Badgers are better. When it comes to defense, the Badgers are a lot better. Wisconsin has the more experienced coaching staff and will stress defensive play this year with new defensive coordinator Mike Tressel. Luke Fickell did a tremendous job with the Bearcats and should do so again in Madison. Simply put, the Badgers are a better program and should win big to open up their conference schedule.
