The Brewers finished the regular season with the best home record in the National League. Jacob Misiorowski was outstanding at home, going 8-1 with a sparkling 1.52 ERA. I am not betting against him in this spot. The Milwaukee moneyline is simply too expensive, so I will take my chances with the run line. Asking a playoff team to win by two or more runs is never comfortable, but I cannot bring myself to lay such a steep price on a favorite. Misiorowski throws hard, and the Milwaukee bullpen brings plenty of velocity as well. The Rays will have to earn every run. Nick Martinez had a phenomenal season for Tampa Bay and was particularly impressive on the road. This should be an excellent opening game between two quality teams, but I am siding with Milwaukee’s home-field advantage and dominant pitching. Take the Brewers -1.5 Runs +120.
