Rotation # 119-120
Northwestern/USC Under 51.5 (loss)
USC enters the evening with a few injuries on its offensive line and will be without its top two running backs. The Trojans have high hopes for King Miller, but they are nevertheless depleted in the running backs room. Northwestern has the opposite issue, as they have a great running back room, but they are not talented when it comes to pass catchers. The Wildcats’ only chance to stay competitive tonight is to win the time of possession by keeping the chains moving on the ground with Caleb Komolafe and Joseph Himon. The USC Secondary should be able to focus on slowing down receiver Griffin Wilde. The rest of the Wildcats’ receivers are not talented enough to rack up a lot of offense. The Wildcats have a respectable defense that should slow down USC, keeping this a lower-scoring game. For an under wager, I like how neither offense is in a hurry to snap the football, unlike some offenses that run at a NASCAR tempo. Both defensive front sevens should be able to control the line of scrimmage. Take the Under.
