St. John’s had a monster lead yesterday against Baylor and blew an absolute heartbreaker at the buzzer in overtime. It’s tough to say how the Red Storm will respond, but they get to face off against a Virginia team that runs a slow-paced offense that isn’t very talented. Virginia still has a decent defense, but it will take coach Ron Sanchez time to make it what it was under Tony Bennett. Rick Pitino has done a phenomenal job as head coach and, in his second year, has his team in the top 25. The Red Storm is an outstanding defensive team that should smoother the UVA offense. Over 40 minutes, the Red Storm should put the game away and won’t take their foot off the gas like they did 24 hours ago to Baylor. Take St. John’s.
