Rotation # 863
Providence +1.5 over Colorado (loss)
Neither team was pleased with their finish last season. Providence had a losing record in the Big East, and Colorado was dead last in the Big 12. The Buffs lost most of their top producers from a year ago and have several first-year students in their rotation who are still learning the ropes. Providence has a bit more experience, especially at the backend of their bench. The Friars did a great job of adding Jason Edwards from Vanderbilt and Jaylin Sellers from UCF. Providence has senior lead guards who won’t be intimidated on the road, especially in a building that hasn’t had excellent home game attendance over the last few years. Stefan Vaaks was just named BIG East Freshman of the week. Neither team is anything to write home about, but the Friars are a slightly better program at this point and are only underdogs because they are on the road. I trust their offense more. Take Providence.
