Rotation # 573
Spurs -4.5 over Timberwolves (win)
The Timberwolves are an extremely talented group of players with plenty of combined experience, but the injury bug has not been kind to them, and it’s starting to show. The Spurs got up by 47 points in the last game as Anthony Edwards was not himself, nursing his knee injury. Minnesota is missing the starting backcourt duo of Edwards and injured Donte DiVincenzo. Ayo Dosunmu Dosummu is not 100% dealing with a calf injury; Kyle Anderson was ill towards the end of the last series, and Jaden McDaniels missed a lot of time this year, making him hard to depend on. The Spurs have an extremely deep bench and are a team that will not allow second-chance points, so if you have a tough shooting night, you are toast. I believe the oddsmakers made San Antonio a decent-sized road favorite because you can’t be confident with key Minnesota players logging full minutes with all of the bumps and bruises they have suffered. Take the Spurs.

Rotation # 959
Braves +105 over Dodgers (loss)
Sale/Sheehan
The Dodgers took advantage of their off day yesterday as they headed back home from a road trip. The Braves took advantage of their off day yesterday, but are still all business, living in hotels waiting to return home after the weekend series in Los Angeles. Atlanta has the best slugging percentage in baseball against lefties and the best slugging percentage on the road. Braves starter Chris Sale has been great in his last few starts, and the Atlanta bullpen has been solid this season. Los Angeles is good against lefties, but would rather be facing a right-handed starter. Dodgers starter Emmet Sheehan is coming off a rough start, giving up a lot of big hits. The wind is blowing out tonight, which could equal another rough outing if Matt Olson continues hitting big home runs. Atlanta has good value at even money. Take the Braves.
