This time of year you must be careful betting on teams you assume are better because of records. A lot of teams run the table at home, but on the road or a neutral court might not be as good. South Alabama could very well be in that category, but Monroe just doesn’t do many things well. The Warhawks are good at forcing turnovers, but South Alabama doesn’t give the ball up. Monroe is a bad offensive team and they can’t get a defensive rebound and they can’t get any offensive rebounds either. Where are the second chance points going to come from? The Jaguars hit the three ball very well and the Warhawks don’t defend the three pointer. UL Monroe is going to have to hit a tremendously high shooting percentage to stay in this game. They have not proven they can do just that all year. Take South Alabama.
