Rotation # 635
Ole Miss +3.5 over Michigan State (win)
It’s interesting to see Michigan State set as a slight favorite when they have covered at a 71% clip all season, and the oddsmakers know they will be backed heavily this evening. Ole Miss is a veteran team that does an outstanding job of forcing turnovers and not throwing the ball away. Creating extra possessions and not throwing them away is a massive advantage in college basketball. The Spartans are a great basketball team coached by one of the best active coaches, but their downfall is their inability to create extra possessions, and they can get ice-cold shooting the three-ball. Sean Pedulla was a fantastic portal pickup for the Rebels and will be the key to their success. Look for the Rebels to take this game to the wire. Take Ole Miss.

Rotation # 639
Kentucky +4.5 over Tennessee (loss)
Tennessee is known for their defense, as they are hard to score on and take away the three-point line. In his first year as coach and with all transfer players, Kentucky has done a fine job under Mark Pope. The Wildcats are a physical presence that can go toe-to-toe with a Volunteers team. The Wildcats have the height and weight advantage, and their pace is challenging to slow down. Amari Williams rebounds well and spreads the entire court along with Lamont Butler. Otega Oweh and Koby Brea are great shooters. The Wildcats have a lot of talent on their bench, which could be a huge factor if the game comes down to the wire. Take Kentucky.

Rotation # 637
Purdue +8.5 over Houston (win)
Purdue is on the younger side but very mature with their decision-making as they protect the ball on offense. One major flaw the Boilermakers have is their inability to rebound, but a plus for them is that Houston is a bad defensive rebounding team. The Cougars are well-coached, but they will never be the most physically sound team on the court, and because of that, they can struggle around the paint area. Purdue can spread the entire court and share the ball generously. The Boilermakers will need excellent ball movement against the best defenders in the nation. Trey Kaufman-Renn is one of the most gifted players around the net and a force on the boards. Both teams play at a turtle pace, so I expect a hard-fought boxing match-like contest to come down to the wire. Take Purdue.

Rotation # 965
Pirates -145 over Marlins (win)
Keller/Gillispie
The Pirates got a decent start from Paul Skenes last night but blew the game late. Neither team has improved much in the offseason and is projected to have a miserable year. There won’t be much offensive flow from either team, as they strike out a lot. Miami starter Connor Gillispie only has eight innings under his belt in his career and was not much of a power pitcher in his limited spring appearances. Walks are a big concern. The Marlins have a new manager, so there is some hope for optimism, but the bullpen is still weak. Mitch Keller should get Pittsburgh back on track. Take the Pirates.
