Iona -9 over Saint Peters (loss)
Everything about Iona from top to bottom is better than Saint Peters.  The Gaels have the more experienced coach, the more experienced players and when it comes to talent they also have more of that.  The Peacocks are a young team that play a lot of freshman.  This Saint Peters team is also undersized.  Look for the Gaels to go from wire to wire to secure a big double digit road win.  Take Iona.

Quinnipiac -5.5 over Marist (loss)
Marist comes into conference play with a lot of Junior College transfers and only one guy that has starting experience at this level of basketball.  This team can’t shoot and can’t defend.  This is another game that boils down to pure talent.  The Bobcats jack up a lot of three pointers and I just can see Marist keeping pace in this game.  John Dunne is going to need another year with these players to become a legit team in this conference.  Take Quinnipiac.

Monmouth +7 over Siena (win)
I am a little shocked by this line.  Siena has a young 41 year old head coach in his rookie campaign going against a veteran Monmouth team that came on really strong last year and had a great MAAC Tournament run that came up just short.  I think the talent on the floor is pretty evenly matched and think 7 is a huge gift for the underdog.  The Saints of Siena are a more up-tempo team then in years past.  I believe this team will turn the ball over a lot as they get used to this style of play.  I would not be shocked to see Hawks in this game with under a minute to go.  Take Monmouth.

Fairfield -2.5 over Niagara (loss)
Niagara is breaking in a new coach this season and are severely undersized.  Fairfield will actually look like a major conference team when you match up the physical stature of both clubs.  Sydney Johnson is the much more established and experienced coach and will lean on his big guys tonight on the road.  Look for a lot of second chance Fairfield points after securing many offensive rebounds.  Niagara is going to have to shoot lights out to stay in this game because they won’t get too many second chance opportunities.  These teams were pretty evenly matched last year.  I believe the Stags are a little bit better at this point in the season.  Take Fairfield.
