Notre Dame vs Alabama

Rotation #327-328
Georgia/Cincinnati Under 52 (win)
This is going to be a pretty good game.  Cincinnati has an excellent defense, but the question for me is can their offense move the ball against the Georgia Defense?  Cincinnati doesn’t have the most talented receivers so the Georgia Defense should win that battle.  These are not exactly the two fastest teams at snapping the ball so this game clock should tick down quicker than two fast pace offenses.  I look for a lot of running in this football game and if we can avoid gift points I believe this game stays low scoring.  Take the Under.

Rotation #331
Notre Dame +20 over Alabama (win)
This line is set on past history.  We all know Notre Dame has been awful in playoff games.  At 0-6 they have not been competitive for one second in any of those games, but those years mean nothing when we talk about this year and not for nothing, but the Alabama Defense of old is not walking out of that tunnel today.  Bama is not a good defensive team so they could cover this game if they win a high scoring game of 60-35, but Ian Book is a good enough quarterback to stay in this game much like Florida last week.  Book brings duel threat ability and I believe the keep pace in this game.  Alabama should only be monster favorites like this when all three phases of their football team is flawless like in the past.  That is just not the case this year.  This is a team that might be the best in the nation, but they are no where near as great as their past teams.  Take Notre Dame.

Rotation #849
UTSA -2.5 over Rice (loss)
Both teams finished at the bottom of Conference USA last season.  When matching up the talent on the court the better team is UTSA.  Keaton Wallace and Jhivvan Jackson are the best guards on the court.  This Roadrunners team has the size and experience advantage and simply has the better pure scorers.   Half of this Rice team is incoming transfers and I don’t feel like they are ready as a unit yet.  Take UTSA.

Rotation #858
Fairfield +2.5 over Rider (loss)
Kevin Baggett is a good coach, but this Rider team lost just about all of their talent from last year.  The transfers the Broncs brought in just won’t cut it for this year.  Fairfield has pretty good guard play and has a big experience edge in this game.  Rider is not a big team so the Stags should also win the battle of the boards today.  Take Fairfield.

Rotation #865
Purdue Fort Wayne +8 over Northern Kentucky (win)
Darrin Horn had a great squad in his first season as head coach for the Northern Kentucky Norse, but lost a lot of talent and will now build up his own freshman recruits to his liking.  Purdue Fort Wayne has the size advantage today and should be the more physical team this evening.  I think Northern Kentucky might be the slightly more talented team, but this spread is too high in a season where home court means nothing at all.  Take IPFW.
