Both teams were on the opposite end of Conference USA last season. Louisiana Tech finished 2nd while UTSA finished 11th. I do think the Roadrunners have closed the gap and will be competitive this year. This team returns their top two players while LA Tech lost their top 2 players. UTSA did better with their transfers this year as well. This is a team with more overall playing experience and has more overall firepower on the offensive end. I think the Roadrunners keep this game close. Take UTSA.

Middle Tennessee State -1 over Southern Miss (loss)
Both teams were in the basement last year in Conference USA play. I believe the bench in much better for the Blue Raiders of MTSU. Overall Middle Tennessee State has a roster that is filled with guys who have played major minutes in their career. This team has a lot of guards who can find other players for buckets. I like the overall three point shooting for the Blue Raiders a little bit more as well. Take MTSU.
