Georgia Tech +6.5 over UCF (win)

Georgia Tech played well this year and finally found a good quarterback. Haynes King has been electric this season and is a dual-threat nightmare. The Yellow Jackets’ running game is outstanding, and they have receivers who can make plays. UFC is just as good in every category, but their secondary took a severe hit with transfers and opt-outs. Gus Malzahn is a great coach, but the defense will be a problem tonight. The total is 66.5, and although it should be high scoring, I like to avoid totals where both team’s strengths are running the ball. Early Bowl Games are hard to predict as some coaches play to win, and others play to coach for next year. The Yellow Jackets are a generous underdog and should keep the game close. Take Georgia Tech.
