Tigers starter Framber Valdez has not looked like the pitcher he once was with Houston and is coming off a terrible outing in his last road start against the Cubs. Having to pitch at Sutter Health Park in over 100-degree temperatures isn’t the most ideal place to get your confidence back. The Tigers offense exploded last night late in the game against the worst bullpen in baseball. It’s hard to trust the A’s when they keep giving up a lot of runs late in the game. The A’s should get their offense back on track, as they are better against lefties and the conditions are great for hitting. Look for both teams to do enough to make this a higher-scoring contest.
