Thunder -7.5 over Spurs (win)
The Spurs secured a remarkable road victory in Game 1 on Monday, doing so short-handed. San Antonio took advantage of a Thunder team that was rusty after sitting idle for a week. Victor Wembanyama is one of the most dynamic players of our time and is fun to watch. We, however, have to remember the Thunder are the defending champions and are not going to go down without a fight. The oddsmakers did nothing to adjust the betting line from game one, and in fact, bumped up Oklahoma City as a heavier favorite. The Spurs are a young team and get even younger if De’aaron Fox can’t give it a go. Fox leads the team in minutes and steals, and is 2nd on the team in points and assists. San Antonio is an incredible talent, but it’s hard-pressed to think they can continue to dominate if Fox isn’t at full strength or in the lineup at all. Look for the Thunder to get off to a faster start, put a lineup even younger than their own on their heels, and take control of game two, sending the series back to San Antonio. Take the Thunder.

Rotation # 977
A’s -120 over Angels (win)
Civale/Kochanowicz
It’s been quite the same story for the Angels for some time now, as their offense at home is nowhere to be found, combined with weak pitching and a weak bullpen. The A’s have a good slugging percentage against right-handers and will try to take advantage of Jack Kochanowicz’s walks. A’s starter Aaron Civale has been pitching very well and will look to take advantage of an A’s team that is awful against right-handed pitching and has gone into a shell the last few weeks. Take the A’s.
