Cavs/Pistons Over 215.5 (loss)
The struggling #1 seed Pistons were down and out in Game 6 in Orlando. There isn’t a person on this earth who had any confidence in them when they were down 24 points. Like a light switch, Detroit turned into a totally different team in the second half, making a miraculous comeback and then winning game seven on their home turf. The Cavs are a mature team that will challenge the Pistons’ notch defense, as they are much more efficient and better in the paint. The Pistons can win on the glass, and they must do so, because the Cavs, led by Donovan Mitchell and James Harden, are healthier than the Magic were and will not have many long offensive scoring droughts. Cleveland has the size to challenge the Pistons’ physical lineup, especially if it can up the tempo. Detroit must attack the paint early and often and jump out of the gates offensively better than they did in the last series. Jalen Duren played much better the other night, and Cade Cunningham is virtually unstoppable. Look for both teams to do enough to make it a higher-scoring contest. Take the Over.
