The Phillies have struggled out of the gates and could use a productive offensive performance to get them out of their slump. Andrew Painter will finally make his first start in the big leagues after being derailed with Tommy John surgery back in 2023, and understandably, he hasn’t looked like the promising prospect he once was. The Nationals have a potent offense, as they currently lead the National League in runs scored. They will need every run they can get with a bullpen that was brutal a year ago.
