Rotation # 634
Duke -5.5 over UConn (loss)
Both teams are battling injuries as they fight for the final spot in the Final Four. Duke was happy to get Caleb Foster back, and UConn was happy to get Silas Demary Jr. back. How healthy both players are after a quick turnaround is to be determined. It’s been hard for the oddsmakers to set the line when Duke plays, as most lines have been inflated, but in today’s scenario, we will try to pick the winner and hope the spread takes care of itself. Both teams play outstanding defense. The experience edge goes to UConn, but the offensive edge goes to Duke, and I believe they will be better on the glass. The Huskies got out to a monster lead the other night against Michigan State, only to give it right back. I don’t know how this team will respond if they get down by a decent-sized number. Cameron Boozer is a special player who should score at will and be a force in the paint area. Blue Devils head coach Jon Scheyer has been incredible since taking over for Coach K. Neither team is at full strength, but I believe the Blue Devils will be a little better at the foul line, and the bench will be a bit more productive. Ultimately, Duke’s combination of offensive firepower, rebounding, and depth should be the difference. Take Duke.
