Rotation # 823
Purdue -6.5 over Ohio State (loss)
Purdue hits the road fresh off another disappointing game at Mackey Arena. The good news for the Boilermakers is that they face an Ohio State team that has lost two straight and has endured key injuries, with players shuffling in and out of the lineup as of late. Purdue should be able to win on the glass and limit the Buckeyes from scoring a lot of points off turnovers. Braden Smith has been fantastic at finding open teammates. Trey Kaufman-Renn and Oscar Cluff should create second-chance opportunities and keep the Buckeyes’ offense from getting second looks themselves. The Boilermakers are a good road team, and the best thing for them after a gut-check loss is to get away on a business trip to try to get back on track with limited distractions. I agree with the oddsmakers making the Boilermakers a decent-sized road favorite against a Buckeyes team that is missing some size and had to play with so many different combinations this year. Take Purdue.
