Rotation # 409
Ravens +3 over Packers
The Packers have clinched a playoff spot with the Lions’ loss on Christmas Day. Baltimore is on the outside looking in, but the road to the playoffs doesn’t seem too far out of the realm of possibilities. The Ravens have to win today and need Cleveland to upset Pittsburgh tomorrow. The Ravens and Steelers play in the final week, and the winner then would make the playoffs. The Steelers can simply clinch by winning tomorrow. The odds are against the Ravens, but they are mathematically still alive. QB Lamar Jackson is out for Baltimore. QB Jordan Love is out for Green Bay. The Packers enjoyed Christmas at home and got their ticket stamped to the postseason without even playing. Chances are Green Bay will be the 7 seed. The Packers might not have the best product on the field with a battered offensive line and with backup QB Malik Willis under center. Willis is dealing with a shoulder injury himself, and there’s little reason to risk him with Love’s status uncertain over the next few weeks. Ravens backup QB Tyler Huntley has a lot more experience in the league and has wheels himself; he should do fine handing the ball off to Derek Henry. The Ravens have a lot of quality receivers who can make things happen after the catch. Both teams have similar injuries on their defensive front sevens, but the Ravens have more depth. It’s a must-win game for Baltimore, and they are getting a few points as the underdogs. If they can’t take advantage, then so be it. Take the Ravens.

Rotation # 240
Houston -1.5 over LSU
Houston/LSU Over 41.5
The reason we will take Houston is simple. LSU is without 5 of its top 7 tacklers on defense due to opt-outs. Houston has a balanced attack with Dean Connors running the ball, and Conner Weigman has thrown a lot of touchdowns in his college career. We should see a lot of yards after catch with so many Tigers players sitting out today’s game. LSU will be without its starting QB, Garrett Nussmeier, but Michael Van Buren has played a lot this year and has an excellent receiver room that can hit a home run on any given play. Houston seems more solid in the trenches, with more of its starters set to play. The Cougars have the comfort of knowing Mansoor Delane and former teammate AJ Haulcy will not play. Weigman should be able to take deep shots, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Tigers get caught out of position with so many backups in the game. Take Houston. Take the Over. No Parlays.
