Rotation # 277-278
Bears/Commanders Undre 49.5 (win)
Let’s start with the Washington QB. Jayden Daniels missed two games with a knee injury and didn’t look great last week, but the Commanders did enough behind the running game to win. Speaking of the running game. Brian Robinson went to the 49ers before week one, and Austin Ekeler is out for the season with an ACL injury. Backup running back Chris Rodriquez is dealing with a calf issue, leaving the Commanders only one healthy back with significant carries in rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt. Croskey-Merritt is playing well, but they don’t have a lot of depth behind him. Jayden Daniels is still getting used to playing with two new tackles on both sides of the offensive line, so it’s unclear if he is comfortable in the pocket. Receivers Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown will miss tonight’s game, and Deebo Samuel is questionable with a heel injury. The Bears’ defense is nothing to write home about, but it’s fair to say the Commanders are not hitting all cylinders on the offensive front. Chicago is still trying to find their way with their first-year coaching staff. QB Caleb Williams has yet to prove he can string together four full quality quarters, and the Bears’ running game isn’t great. There are still remnants of the nor’easter hanging around the East Coast, so we could see high wind gusts and wet conditions, making throwing the ball harder and a kicker’s worst nightmare. Take the Under.
