The Red Sox hammered the Royals last night, leading 8-1 late, before giving up a few meaningless runs in the 8th inning to make the game closer than it looked. Royals starter Ryan Bergert has not pitched much in his career to be fully trusted, and he doesn’t last long, so it should become a bullpen game early for the Royals. Garrett Crochet has been outstanding the past few seasons and should pitch deep into the night. Boston is a great home team with a high slugging percentage against right-handed and left-handed pitchers. Kansas City’s slugging percentage drops when facing lefties. We will take the run line.
