Neither team is a stranger, as they battled in the old PAC 12 every season. Both teams are making the switch to life in the BIG 10. USC is a team made up of transfers from smaller conferences, and they are adjusting to first-year head coach Eric Musselman. Both coaches are outstanding, but the edge goes to Mick Cronin, who has coached the UCLA system for six years and retained his top three players from a year ago. The Bruins might be a younger team, but they are made up of more blue-chip recruits and play better defense. The Bruins got better at the guard position with the addition of Skyy Clark.
