The Royals and Rangers are at the two ends of hot and cold streaks. Texas has been lousy against lefties and has shown no signs of life since the All-Star break; Kansas City has. Both teams are still in the wild-card hunt, but even the biggest of Rangers fans would agree that things are not looking promising. Rangers starter Kumar Rocker has been unimpressive this year, while Royals starter Noah Cameron has looked sharp. Kansas City won’t catch the Tigers in the AL Central, so it’s wild card or bust. The same applies to Texas in the AL West, making this a critical 4-game series. Take the Royals.
