Northern Illinois +9.5 over Iowa
Iowa has suspended their left and right tackle for this game and will have only 1 starter from last year on their line for this afternoon’s game.  Northern Illinois is a solid program from the MAC and have one of the best pass rushers and sack artist in the game with Sutton Smith.  Smith should tee off against inexperienced tackles on the Iowa Offensive Line.  Iowa doesn’t have a ton of experience at running back and in a rainy/windy day should struggle just enough.  The Hawkeye defense is a little thin on the back end as well.  I do like their defensive line a lot, but the veteran NIU Offensive Line should do their part today.  I like the fact NIU QB Marcus Childers can run the football.  In sloppy conditions it’s always great having a mobile QB.  I think this game comes down to the wire.  I like the value in the dog here.  Take Northern Illinois.
