Jedd Fisch returns for his third season in Seattle after a 9-4 (5-4 Big Ten) campaign. He will take a more hands-on role in offensive play-calling after former coordinator Jimmie Dougherty moved to the NFL. Dual-threat Desmond Williams returns at quarterback after completing 70% of his passes a season ago. Top running back Jonah Coleman left for the Denver Broncos, and Oregon transfer Jayden Limar will try to fill that void. Last year’s top receiver, Denzel Boston, is now with the Browns, but Dezmen Roebuck and DeGraaf return at tight end. The offensive line brings back four starters in John Mills, Landen Hatchett, Geirean Hatchett and Drew Azzopardi. The Huskies are excited to see five-star recruit left tackle Kodi Greene take the field.

Defensive coordinator Ryan Walters is back for his second season. The Huskies return two starters on the defensive line in Jacob Lane and Elineus Davis. In the middle, Xe’ree Alexander leads the linebackers, along with Jacob Manu, who had his season cut short a year ago but has 229 career tackles under his belt. The secondary is led by last year’s leading tackler, Alex McLaughlin, and the Huskies are eager to see Virginia transfer Emmanuel Karnley in action.

Special teams coordinator Chris Petrilli is back with a new field goal kicker in Texas State transfer Tyler Bobles and a new punter in San Diego State transfer Hunter Green. Dezmen Roebuck will handle more of the punt return duties with Denzel Boston gone. The Huskies need to find a replacement for kick returner duties with Adam Mohammed transferring to Cal. With a talented dual-threat quarterback and a strong, experienced offensive line, the Huskies have a solid foundation. The running backs will need to step up to keep the offense balanced.
