Kirby Smart returns for his 11th season as head coach. With a veteran staff and consistent excellence, the Bulldogs remain the team to beat. Under fourth-year offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, the Bulldogs bring back senior quarterback Gunner Stockton, who completed 70% of his passes last year and improved tremendously as a runner. The Georgia running back room returns intact. Nate Frazier led the Bulldogs with 68 yards per game, and Chauncey Bowens averaged 41 yards per game. Six of the top eight receivers moved on to the NFL. London Humphreys leads the returning group, and fans are excited for Georgia Tech transfer Isiah Canion to take the field. The Bulldogs’ offensive line returns three full-time starters from a year ago.

Defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann is happy to have seven of the top eleven tacklers back from a year ago. Leading tackler CJ Allen is now with the Colts organization, but KJ Bolden and Raylen Wilson remain. The Bulldogs return most of their starters on the defensive line and are loaded with talent at linebacker, with Raylen Wilson leading the way. KJ Bolden and Ellis Robinson head up the secondary. Georgia fans can’t wait for Clemson transfer Khalil Barnes to showcase his talents.

Peyton Woodring returns after making 90% of his kicks last season. Drew Miller will handle the punting duties while Sacovie White-Helton will look to take over for Zachariah Branch as the return man. With elite coaching, returning production on both sides of the ball, and proven special teams, Georgia has as good a chance as any powerhouse to contend for the national title in 2026.
