Sean Payton returns for his fourth season as head coach after the Broncos posted an exceptional 14-3 campaign in 2025. Davis Webb takes over as offensive coordinator. Bo Nix is back under center, and running backs J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey return. The Broncos bring back ten of their top ten pass catchers from a year ago. Courtland Sutton and Pat Bryant return at receiver, along with tight ends Evan Engram and Adam Trautman, while the Broncos welcome Jaylen Waddle from Miami. The offensive line returns Garett Bolles, Ben Powers, Luke Wattenberg, Quinn Meinerz, and Mike McGlinchey. Alex Palczewski provides added depth.
Vance Joseph returns for his fourth season as defensive coordinator. The Broncos bring back ten of their top eleven tacklers from a year ago, including the top five. D.J. Jones, Zach Allen, Jonah Elliss, Justin Strnad, Alex Singleton, and Nik Bonitto return to the front seven. Malcolm Roach returns as well, while Jonathon Cooper will start the season on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. The Broncos’ secondary returns Riley Moss, Pat Surtain II, Talanoa Hufanga, Brandon Jones, and Ja’Quan McMillian.
Special teams coach Darren Rizzi returns for his second season. Wil Lutz returns as placekicker after hitting 28 of his 32 attempts a year ago. Jeremy Crawshaw returns as punter. Marvin Mims will again be the primary return man. The Broncos are stacked with talent, and the only thing that kept them back from a possible Super Bowl run was a freak injury to Bo Nix and sloppy weather in the AFC Championship loss to the Patriots. The sky is the limit in 2026.
