Bill O’Brien enters his third season at Boston College following a 2-10 overall and 1-7 ACC campaign in 2025. O’Brien will oversee the offense following Will Lawing’s departure for an NFL analyst position. Division II Saginaw Valley State transfer Mason McKenzie joins the program at quarterback. Boston College must replace leading rusher Turbo Richard following his transfer to Indiana, while Liberty transfer Evan Dickens and Maryland transfer Nolan Ray join the backfield. The Eagles must replace their top three receivers from last season, while Jaedn Skeete returns after an injury-limited 2025 season and North Carolina transfer Javarius Green joins the receiving corps. Tight end Kaelan Chudzinski will miss the 2026 season with an Achilles injury. The offensive line returns starters Robert Smith and Michael Crounse, while Michigan State transfer Kristian Phillips joins the group after making four starts last season. Boston College will feature several new starters across the offensive line in 2026.

Ted Roof takes over as defensive coordinator. Boston College returns five of its top eleven tacklers from last season, including leading tackler KP Price. All five returning top-11 tacklers come from the secondary, with Price joined by Carter Davis, Isaiah Farris, T.J. Green, and Max Tucker. Florida State transfer KJ Sampson and Georgia transfer Kris Jones join a defensive front that will feature several new contributors.

Matt Thurin enters his seventh season as special teams coordinator. Luca Lombardo returns after connecting on 16 of 17 field-goal attempts last season, while Boston College will settle its punting roles during preseason camp. Isaiah Farris and T.J. Green return with experience in the return game.
