The Ravens missed a field goal that would have won the AFC North, and the fallout has been massive. John Harbaugh is out, and Jesse Minter takes over the head coaching duties with a brand-new staff. 30-year-old Declan Doyle takes over as offensive coordinator. Lamar Jackson is back at quarterback along with running back Derrick Henry. The Ravens return five of their top eight receivers from a year ago. Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Devontez Walker, and tight end Mark Andrews return. Ronnie Stanley, Roger Rosengarten, and Andrew Vorhees return to the offensive line along with John Simpson from the Jets, Ethan Pocic from the Browns, and Penn State rookie Vega Ioane. Jovaughn Gwyn comes over from Atlanta to fight for the starting center job.

Anthony Weaver comes over from the Dolphins to become the defensive coordinator. The Ravens return their top six tacklers from a year ago and ten of their top eleven overall. Nnamdi Madubuike is back in the front seven after playing just two games last year along with Travis Jones, John Jenkins, Tavius Robinson, Teddye Buchanan, and Roquan Smith. The Ravens welcome in Calais Campbell from Arizona and Trey Hendrickson from Cincinnati.  Nate Wiggins, Chidobe Awuzie, Kyle Hamilton, Malaki Starks, and Marlon Humphrey return to the secondary along with Jaylinn Hawkins, who played for New England last year.

Anthony Levine remains on staff and takes over the special teams coaching duties. The Ravens return Tyler Loop, who had an outstanding year and is looking to redeem himself after the Week 18 miss against the Steelers that cost the team a trip to the postseason. Michigan State rookie Ryan Eckley will be the new punter. LaJohntay Wester and Rasheen Ali will be the return men. Regrouping as an organization after 18 years under John Harbaugh will be challenging, but the pieces are in place for Baltimore to be right back in the thick of things. Lamar Jackson will again have a lot riding on his shoulders.
