Wednesday Basketball Recap

by Bob Balfe

We cashed in early in the NBA as the Knicks finally got a back to back win this season against the Sixers. We lost with Tulane as SMU were men among boys in the second half getting to every loose ball and grabbing tons of offensive rebounds. This team could make some noise in the tournament. We cashed in late night as New Mexico won outright despite the refs putting UNLV in the bonus early in the second half and New Mexico not going to the line at all. New Mexico and Cincinnati were the only two teams in the country that did not allow 70 points in any games this year. New Mexico gives up 69 and the streak continues. Points in the paint were not even close, but UNLV scored a lot from the foul line. On the road this team would not get the calls they did tonight. I will take 2 of 3 every night. Back in the morning strong!

Sunday NFL Conference Championships Recap

by Bob Balfe

It was a true miracle as the Seahawks had one of the craziest comebacks you would ever see. We had the over and it took overtime for us to cash the ticket. The saying it is better to be lucky that good couldn’t be more suited for that game. In the second game we went coast to coast as the Patriots dominated the Colts. Nothing feels as great as a 2-0 sweep on conference championship weekend. I can’t wait to release my Super Bowl Pick next Friday.

Wednesday NCAA Basketball Recap

by Bob Balfe

Back in the winners circle as our NCAA Basketball Predictions went 2-1 on the evening. We split early losing with the Pistons and winning with the Toledo over Ohio. Iowa State came roaring back at +1.5 and had a chance to win outright, but lost at the buzzer by one point cashing our ticket. Sometimes it amazes you how close the odds makers get at predicting some of these lines.

Tuesday NCAA Basketball Recap

by Bob Balfe

We finished the evening going 1-2 with our selections. The Indiana Hoosiers blew a double digit lead and were lucky Penn State were a 1/2 second late on a 3 pointer or the game would have went to overtime after Indiana had control of the game for the most part. Arkansas looked awful with sloppy turnovers, but I did like how there is no quit in this team and they were in prime position to get right back into this basketball game, but missed 3 foul shots with 5 seconds to go. Tennessee needs to start making their foul shots and if they do so can be a major force in the SEC. I think Indiana should have covered the spread, but we were very lucky to get a ton of points in the final minutes in the Arkansas/Tennessee Game or it could have been a really bad day with our College Basketball Picks.
